Kansas City had its first ever "Jiggle Jam" - a kids concert with all kid-oriented music. We went for a short time on Saturday, and had a lot of fun, so hope this continues next summer too. We will be prepared for next year, though, and have blankets, towels and a change of clothes for Penny. We went for the evening show to see They Might Be Giants perform, which I thought was pretty fun. Penny seemed to enjoy the music and danced a bit, but she caught sight of someone dressed as the mascot from the local PBS station PT (petey) the Owl, and darn near chased him around the yard! The biggest blast for her came from the fountains. At first, she wasn't so sure and would barely get her toes wet. After a while, and a few trips through with Mom, Penny really got into and forgot about being afraid of water on her face and was soon attacking the sprays and running through with all the other kids.
